Charles Worthington Overnight Ultimate Hair Healer.

This is a Charles Worthington product and it is from the "Secrets Collection". The collection is a tad more expensive than your usual CW products and are all high quality treatments...... definitely worth a try!

My hair has been super dry and frizzy recently especially on the ends, which is from a variety of reasons - PCOS, Weather, Heating, styling etc..When I saw that this is made especially for these problems it seemed like a perfect product to invest in!

It's Recommended in the salon for hair suffering from dryness, frizz or damage, this silky light-weight crème acts as a healing mask during your beauty sleep, leaving no residue on your pillow. Its advanced formula contains nourishing Argan Oil and a Night Shield Complex with penetrating actives that reinforce the hair from root to tip. Scientifically proven to: double hair-strength overnight & reduce hair-breakage by up to 80%.

As I work from home I usually leave it on for 24hrs, I apply on clean dry hair, before bed and in the morning my hair is super soft and conditioned, you can easily run a brush through it, tie back and go to work without anyone noticing. My hair does feel softer, more conditioned and stronger, it also looks smoother and less frizzy.

I really am impressed it costs £14.99 for 200ml, but I've used it 5-6 times and only used a 1/4 of product so if you compare price to amount of applications it isn't too expensive.

Tips for keeping Hair Healthy....

1. NO Fad Diets! - A well-balanced diet is the best way to keep your hair healthy and strong. Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables, nuts, brown rice, beans and pulses,  and you’ll have tresses in top condition in no time. Also drink plenty of water to keep you hydrated.

2. Pay careful attention to how you wash your tresses: rub shampoo into the palms of your hands and distribute evenly, lather and repeat with half as much shampoo. Rinse and apply a matching conditioner mainly to the ends and mid-lengths. -  Reduce the impact of heat styling with a good protector spray or balm. Choose a non-greasy product that won’t weigh your hair down.

3. Apply a deep conditioning treatment. You can use deep conditioning treatments like olive oil, argan oil, avocado oil or Coconut Oil - Use a leave-in conditioner at least once a week. Leave-in conditioners penetrate deep into your hair cuticles to heal them more completely. Try a spray leave in conditioner/ detangler after you shower. The conditioner will make your hair tangle free and manageable.

4. Accessorise your healthy, gorgeous hair. Clips or barrettes can compliment beautiful hair but can cause split ends and snags I have been using Popbands as they have no metal they don't damage my hair, they come in all colours to suit everyones taste!

Winter Skin care - Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil.

Naturally astringent for Oily or Combination Skin. 100% pure plant extracts. Clarins’ exclusive blend of Rosewood, Geranium and Lotus extracts purifies, tightens pores and refines the skin texture. Hazelnut Oil softens, soothes and seals in moisture to prevent fine lines.

Some people think If you have oily or even combination skin, using a facial oil will make the problem worse. In truth, an oil can do wonders for all skin types - aiming to balance and decongest. Lotus face treatment oil* is a really light oil, it doesn't feel heavy or greasy on the skin, it absorbs quickly. I usually apply a drop or two at night, after cleansing and before my night cream.

I usually try to take a few minutes to unwind and give myself a relaxing facial massage, using your fingers and working in circular motions. It's the perfect evening treatment to really improve complexion and skin type, It has also improved my night sleep, not sure if that is the oils or the relaxing massage before bed!

My skin has really improved by adding in this extra step, it has become slightly less oily during the day, but it feels much more supple and hydrated than it was before, I'm not sure if I would include this step in my summer routine (watch this space, as I've only been using for the past 2-3 months) but during these past few months it has been a saviour in improving my skin after the cold wind, rain & central heating..
It costs £30.00 from Clarins, I also discovered that with every order you can choose 3 samples, which is great for trying new products.

Do you include a face oil in your routine?

Nourish Argan Skin Rescue Treatment

I don't know about you, but I absolutely love Hair oils especially Argan oil to use on my hair to keep it in condition & from going frizzy. So when i discovered Argan oil for the face, I was slightly concerned as I thought it would be too heavy for my face as I have Combination skin & it would break me out.
I decided to give it a try & I am so glad I did, it's an oil but once applied it absorbs quickly into the skin & you are left with lovely plump, smooth hydrated skin.
I also feel that over the last 4 weeks of using this oil,  it has balanced my skin as it seems less oily & i no longer have dry patches.

Nourish Skin Rescue Treatment* contains a Natural collagen enhancer to help protect from signs of ageing and restore skin when in distress. Its active ingredients combat the formation of wrinkles by strengthening the protein bonding structures. It neutralises harmful free radicals and reduces the blotchiness and scarring associated with injury, acne, eczema and psoriasis. It inhibits dehydration and simultaneously brings the skin back to equilibrium. Easily absorbed 90% Organic.

This has made my skin brighter & hydrated, I usually use it 1-2 times a week before I go to bed, more often if my skin is feeling a bit sorry for itself.
It smells lovely and relaxing, just what you need before bed. When I wake up I have amazingly plumped, Hydrated, smooth skin, a perfect base for my base for my Make up.

It retails for £18.95 for 15ml but as it is an oil a little goes a long way, I use one pump and then rub my hands together & press the oil into my face.
