Innovo

A fab new device that could take the strain out of exercises undertaken by millions of women after they give birth. Innovo is designed to be strapped to your upper thighs, this £249 gadget is a discreet way of giving a workout to your pelvic floor muscles – the cause of a little talked-about and embarrassing problem which affects more than five million British women!

The Innovo – developed by Irish firm Atlantic Therapeutics – comprises straps inside special shorts that house conductive pads which are secured around your upper thighs. These are connected to a small controller which can be worn around your neck to allow more movement, it delivers a mild electric impulse to the nerves that run down the front of your leg and branch up into your abdomen. This causes the pelvic floor – a sheet of muscles that supports the bladder and urethra – to contract 180 times during a 30-minute session, strengthening the muscles to improve your symptoms.

I have been testing Innovo for the past 12 weeks as I'd recently become a new mum fir the second time and thought I'd give it a whirl, as I'd been rather lax with my pelvic floor exercises!. The whole set up is extremely easy and straight forward... But the first couple of uses were quite fiddily, the pads are extremely sticky and stuck to everything they touched, but once I'd got them into position, I could sit and watch TV, read a book or cook my evening meal for thirty minutes, the sensation is a bit like mild pins and needles - not painful in the slightest and has to be built up, as I thought I'd be clever and ramp it up on my first go and nearly fell over! Ha lesson learnt! It's extremely easy to control and as the timer is on a cord you can pop it around you neck and forget about it, so much better than doing a million manuel pelvic floors! - who has time for that?!..I started to notice improvement around my 3rd-4th week of using Innovo 4-5 times a week, after the full 12 weeks I was impressed with the results.

A great little gadget, a little pricey but in my opinion it is worth it as the benefits and outcome will change some people's lives, no more embarrassing situations and giving you your before child body back. I can now sneeze with the knowledge I no longer have to cross my legs!!

If you'd like an Innovo of your very own you can pick one up from www.Restore the Floor.com for £249 or 6 instalments of £41.50.

Pink Lining - Yummy Mummy - Sam the Dalmatian Changing Bag.

I've had my Pink Lining changing bag for a little over eight months and like it but don't love it!.. For £79.00 I thought it would be perfect, but to me it just doesn't fulfill all my expectations..
The Yummy Mummy is their most popular baby changing bag. The exterior of the bag features the Sam The Dalmatian print and has two canvas elasticated side pockets with pretty PU bows and a front canvas pocket with Yummy Mummy slogan and cupcake patch. The bag comes with an adjustable shoulder strap that is long enough to fit over any pram/buggy handle bars. Internal Features: 2x insulated bottle holders, 2x nappy pockets, pen holder, key fob, mirror, phone pocket, small zip pocket, padded changing mat and wet zip bag.

The bag itself is well made, attractive to look at with a fun design.. I love all the little compartments, and have enjoyed using it, but my biggest bugbear with the bag, is it just doesn't have enough space inside, as the padded changing mat takes up Too much valuable space.. Why didn't they make a separate exterior compartment on the bag as this would then enable you more space to fill with stuff your baby requires?. I have to cram everything in and pray the zip doesn't bust when I zip it up...

This is the back of the bag and as you can see they could quite easily attach a pocket for the changing mat to slip into and free up the inside?! - it just makes so much more sense to have the mat storage on the exterior of the bag. This tiny change would improve the use of this bag and make any parents life that little bit easier as everyone knows HOW MUCH stuff our little people need!..

Do you have this bag, what are your thoughts?

How safe is your Make up?!

Are you aware that Deadly diseases might be lurking in your make-up bag, as killer germs are discovered in beauty products. Lab test revealed that LIFE-THREATENING bacteria, including a strain that CAUSES MENINGITIS!! has been found in cosmetics. Four out-of-date products and one still in date were tested by Scientists at London Metropolitan University.
A safety warning was issued after all five came back as containing unsafe levels of potentially LETHAL BACTERIA. The germs discovered can cause everything from horrific stomach bugs to life-threatening diseases. One of the bugs – enterococcus faecalis – is a main cause of meningitis, which kills more children under five than any other infectious disease in the UK.
The old makeup also tested positive for the presence of these other bacteria:
Eubacterium, which is linked to bacterial vaginosis.
Aeromonas, a bacteria found in gastroenteritis and wound infections.
Staphlyoccocus epidermidis, a bug that is resistant to antibiotics.
Propionibacterium, which can cause acne and other skin conditions.
Enterobacter, which can lead to urinary and respiratory tract infections.
As a mother of two young children.. One only six months old these claims terrified me and made me go through my Make up collection and throw over half of it away! Now when I'm watching Bloggers/Vloggers proudly showing their make up collection it makes me feel sick about what horrible bacterias are lurking in their drawers!.. I LOVE Make up and as you all probably do, I collected way too much for little old me and hardly used most of it.. But my Childrens safety totally outweighed my love of a Two year old Chanel blush!
Pregnant women and Mums with young children need to be aware that their make up could carry deadly bacterias that are seriously dangerous to their children!...

Clevamama Clevafeed

Baby S enjoying her banana.

Baby S is now 5 months old and has become interested in foods, so I have been looking for safe ways to help her discover new tastes other than me feeding her with a spoon, I found a baby site selling Clevamama products and after a browse I found the Clevafeed.. Which has been so useful! - The BPA Free ClevaFeed is the safest and most hygienic way to introduce your child to solids including fruit and vegetables without the risk of choking.  Easy to use – simply open the handle and place food in the teat. Suitable from 6+ months the ClevaFeed is also a great when your baby is teething. It includes a travel cover for when you’re out and about. Unlike similar products on the market, this product doesn't use a net bag. instead the ClevaFeed uses a silicon mesh teat, which is far more hygenic and softer on gums. The silicone teat is easy to clean, safe and convenient. As the Clevafeed is quite bulky, it's very easy for her little hands to keep hold of and navigate to her mouth, Baby S ate her first banana and she couldn't eat it quick enough!.. I've had it just over a week and she's had banana, mango and cucumber so far.

Baby S has also been teething for the last month or so and other than calpol, teething powder, gels and teething rings she's been getting upset with the aching that comes with it.. So I decided to fill it with crushed iced and gave it to her.. It did the job amazingly and she crunched and munched until it had all gone and it definitely eased the discomfort.

The Cleva Feed is not a pacifier and should be used under adult supervision only.  Never leave your child unattended while using this product.  Check regularly and discard when worn or damaged.
I bought mine for £5.99 and it came with a spare teat.
What useful tips do you have to wean a baby?

George at ASDA Babywear #WBabyWT

Baby S has been a model for the past week wearing Baby wear from George at Asda I was contacted and asked if I'd like £45 worth of clothes* to put together some gorgeous little outfits...I accepted as I love the range from George as it is affordable but good quality.

Here are the outfits I picked out..

Outfit one - A cute "I'm the Boss" T-shirt in turquiose, pink leggings and as it was a little chilly I added the grey hoodie with ears! So cute :)

Outfit two - a beautiful Minnie mouse outfit of T-shirt and spotty denim leggings with a pair of denim booties to finish..

Outfit three - A gorgeous blue floral cardigan with a pair of dusky pink leggings that have a cute frills on the back.

Outfit four - A pretty little denim pinafore with a pink floral T-shirt, I also added the denim booties.

Outfit five - A very cute little minnie mouse outfit with a pink applique t-shirt and floral pants.

Each outfit came in under £10 which I think is amazing for the quality of the clothes and as our little ones grow so fast, keeping their wardrobes stocked can be expensive.

Have you joined in the #WBABYWT showing off your little ones in there outfits?

Surprise.................. I'm Pregnant!!

Are you surprised? Because we are! Totally & utterly gob smacked to be honest... Over seven years ago I was told I wouldn't be able to conceive a baby naturally after years of being poked & prodded, having test after test and other intruding examinations due to having PCOS.... I gave up and started to plan our wedding for May 2008 as we had our date for IVF confirmed for August 2008, But a miracle happened and we got our beautiful daughter in April 2008 - just three weeks before our wedding... I believe your mind plays a massive part over your body, especially when trying for a baby.

After six years and no more babies at 35 we'd both mentally accepted, that we were just going to have the one child, which we were happy with as she is just PERFECT!!... We had decided to book Florida in late 2012 and started to plan it, but due to me having to have an operation on my back for a ruptured disc in early 2013 we postponed it, this year my Brother got married this May in Sicily, once we'd been we decided that 2015 was the year we went to Florida... We began planning looking at accommodation, flights, parks, places we wanted to go and visit, we found a beautiful villa and booked it.... Soon after the flights were booked... It was happening in May 2015, we were all extremely excited!!

I'd decided to go to see my Dr as I'd been having some twinges and pains, thinking I had an enlarged cyst, I was sent to the hospital for a routine scan, but instead of finding a cyst I was told it was in fact a 16wk baby..... Out of the room walked a very, very, very shocked Jane .. Yes you got it! We had done it again..I had Completely thrown my mind, body & soul into something and my ovaries decided to pop out an egg and turn it into a little bundle of joy!!

I've been to the midwife and Consultant at the hospital ... everything is great.. Baby is due on 8th March.. So if on time S/He will be just 10weeks old when we go to Florida! We are all ecstatic if still not a little shocked! Baby is going to be a karate expert as it is regularly giving me kicks and punches to remind me that it in there :) I am now 21wks +3 and have my 20 wk scan this week. We have decided not to find out the sex as we've waited this long for a baby we can wait another 19wks and really loved the surprise with our first as EVERYONE including us thought she would be a boy!

Never Ever give up on your dreams! Your time will come when you least expect it! Xxx
