YSL Voluptè Lipstick in 107 Impetuous Beige

An object of desire, this award-winning lipstick is wrapped in a romantic, elegant gold case that exudes luxury. Each signature shade saturates lips in captivating colour that’s intensely pigmented, and imparts an irresistible glossy shine. The long-lasting, comforting formula is highlighted with a unique Colour-shine Complex that leaves lips visibly smoother, plumper and more radiant. Light, silky texture smoothes on a veil of satiny, sensual colour that’s altogether alluring. SPF 15.

Read that & tell me you aren't tempted to buy it right now! I'm such a sucker for pretty things & when i saw this gorgeous little gold tube twinkling at me in John Lewis, i knew it had to be mine!!

107, Impetuous beige Rouge Volupté Perle is an amazing Glossy Nude colour. It looks great with an intense eye and lots of bronzer and highlighter for an evening look. This shade is so elegant, it is also a great for an easy day look with natural eyes & a little dab of this - Perfection!

As the formulation is quite thick, i have found that if you dab the lipstick rather than swipe over your lips it gives you a much better finish.

Are you a YSL fan?

Covergirl Lash Blast Mascara

Get a blast of lush, volumized lashes! LashBlast's patented volume-boosting formula and patent-pending brush are designed to max out each and every lash, leaving you with the ultimate big-lash look.

I had been lusting after this Mascara for a while, probably more so as it is unavailable to buy here in the UK, so this is another purchase i had to buy on Ebay - I love that site for my American goodies even though they can sometimes be 3x the normal retail price! GRrrr

This mascara is BLACK! It is soo black! It's Great! That's one of the things that I was looking for. It separates, thickens, lengthens & gives volume to my lashes, Luckily i am quite blessed with lashes as i have fairly long ones :)

I have been using this for the past 2 weeks & i would recommend it to anyone who doesn't like to put nasty chemicals on their skin. It's very gentle and effective, a great high quality product.
I use it daily and find it very efficient at removing makeup and for general cleansing. It is mild, and I wipe it off with a warm muslin cloth before rinsing my face under cold water, it even removes my Super-shock black eyeliner!
It smells lovely, very calming & soothing, you can definitely smell the essential aromas, i also get a slight citrus smell, which i like.

It is described as

For all skin types
Liberate your skin from pollutants and impurities: purify with beautiful Gentle Cleanse.
  • Alcohol free and moisture binding, rich in essential fatty acids

Favourite Makeup Products 2012

Foundation - The Two foundations i have reached for, for the majority of 2012 is my Bourjois Healthy mix in Vanilla & L'Oreal Lumi Magique in Rose Ivory which surprises me as they are both Drug store & cost me less than £10!

Concealer - It's got to be Rimmel Match Perfection this is great for undereye as it Conceals, brightens & lasts all day.

Bronzer - Without a doubt in my mind my favourite Bronzer this year has to be my NYC Smooth Skin in Sunny, it is the most natural looking matte bronzer, also very buildable from day to night & for less than £5 you can't go wrong.

Blusher - This was a tricky one but i settled on Accessorize merged blusher in Pretty Pink, it is a Stunning peachy pink colour with an added sheen great for a subtle highlight during the day, again drugstore for around £6.

Eye Shadow - There have been quite a few new find this year which i really liked using, Maybelline colour tattoo in On & On Bronze, L'Oreal Infallible in Amber Rose & Iced Latte but i have also been reaching for my Naked Palettes & Wet n Wild Comfort palette, So many pretty colours to choose just one! -Sorry...

Mascara - L'Oreal Volume million Lashes in Black, this makes my lashes look amazing - Thick, Full, Long & fluttery, i have used for years on & off trying different ones, but always come back to this one. Around £10.

Eyeliner - I'm not one for using black liner in my water line as i think it makes my eyes look smaller when i wear my glasses, also i usually fail when i try to do a winged look :( but i have been loving the Maybelline  Scandeleyes Waterproof liner in nude & taupe for my waterline & black for smudging near my top lashes for a smokey look. Around £4.

Lips - I'm obsessed with my Nuxe Rive de miel lip balm to make my lips in tip top shape! Then i usually put on a Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Precious, Honey or Cherish. I've also loved the Korres lip butters in Jasmine, Pomegranate & Quince during the day & for night my Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boy or my YSL Rouge Voluptè Perle in 107.

Highlight - Dior Amber Diamonds as it gives such a lovely natural glow to my skin & the shades can also be used for eyeshadows if needed.

I have discovered some great new & some old favourites this year, let's see what i find in 2013!

Did you discovered any new great products in 2012?

Dear Diary - Day Three

Spending Ban......?

Can i resist the temptation of shiny new pretty things? Every Blogger & their dog is going on about Spending Ban's & it is making me feel slightly guilty on the amount of money i spend - *Daily!* on beauty products that i WANT but don't NEED!!!

Alice from Bright Town Girl is Starting a Twitter chat #spendingban on Thursday 10th January 2013 at 8pm for everyone who is contemplating a spending ban, needs encouragement whilst on theirs or just a general chat about your spending habits! Which i think is a fantastic idea!

Are you considering putting yourself on a spending ban?

MAC Clear Brow Set Dupe.......

I was recently watching a Haul video on YouTube from a well Known Vlogger & she showed MAC's Brow Set in Clear & happily said she had spent £12.50! On it? What?!

But what is so special about it? MAC Describe it as - Slick! Strokes on. Adds shine, style, grooming, overall wow! to the brows. A brush-on gel that grooms and slicks brows into shape without flaking or stiffening the brows.

I use & have been using for well over 12 months, MUA's Clear Mascara to set my Brows, it works perfectly fine & keeps my brows looking pristine for the whole day, but this little wonder costs me £1.00! Meaning i could buy one a month for a year & still have 50p left. The MUA Clear mascara does the exact same job.

Why would you pay an extra £11.50 just because it had a brand name printed on the side? for simple things like setting my brows i will search out an alternative to save myself some money to enable me to buy a more expensive foundation or other make up item that i can justify the high price.

Do you have any good Dupes to share?

Urban Decay Naked Basics Review & Swatches

I finally caved and bought it when i saw a 20% off promotion at Beauty bay.com, I know it was only £2.00 making it £18, but i had been looking at reviews & swatches and it is the perfect size for travel. (still talking myself into the purchase!)

The Case is a slightly rubberised texture similar to Nars. The new Naked Basics palette only has 6 eye shadows, 5 of which are  matte& 1 Semi-matte. The palette contains the following 6 shades:

Venus - A creamy white colour (Semi-Matte)
Foxy - A yellow/beige colour
Walk of Shame - A pink/beige colour
Naked 2 - A soft taupe colour
Faint - A warm, medium dark brown colour
Crave - A dark black colour

The Shadows them selves are lovely and creamy and pigmented, which i was happy about as most mattes are chalky which is why i usually go for satin or shimmery.

Were you tempted?

Sneak Peek- Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette

Urban Decay are Naked again!
They are bringing out a Blush palette for Spring 2013 ( USA is January 2013) priced at $30, to me it looks very similar to the Sleek Face Form palette which contained a bronzer, blush & highlighter that costs only £10.00 i did a review Here.

It does look very pretty & i am slightly tempted but the price seems fairly steep......
They are also releasing a Beauty Balm, Ammo Palette & Lip glosses in this Collection.

Are you excited for it's arrival?

Photo's sourced from Google Images.

Dear Diary - Day Two

Out with the Old! - New Years Resolution?....

After fighting with about 30 different bottles of Shampoo, Conditioner & Shower gels whilst trying to clean my bathroom, made me make a decision that i have to use all my current body products up before i buy anymore!

I currently have 8 different brands of Shampoo & Conditioner on the go all claiming to make my hair thick & luscious  - You'd think I'd learn that they won't miraculously cure my thinning hair! Therefore i will use up everything i have before i purchase the latest best thing....... Am i the only one who has this problem?!

Would you like to see an empties post?

Dear Diary - Day One

Happy New Year!
I have decided to start a diary & promise to write a post everyday, it may just be to say a quick Hello, post a picture or quote/thought of the day or maybe a review of a new product?

I've not quite thought out what i will do as yet but I'm quite excited that in 365 days time i will be able to look back & see what i was thinking!!

Is this a good idea or am i Going Insane?
