Too Faced A Few of my Favourite Things Palette

This stunning palette is made of sturdy cardboard and is excellent quality, It opens like a book to reveal 20 gorgeous eyeshadows, 2 pretty blushes, and 2 lovely bronzers.

The palette is absolutely beautiful in a pink and gold chevron with white embossed letters- I fell in love with the packaging, especially the make up bag before I laid eyes on the palette.

I (luckily) was unable to find this in stock anywhere and thought I'd missed the boat, but on Christmas day I was having a peak at Debenhams online sale and saw it on sale with 33% off, before I had a second thought it was in my basket and I'd checked out a very happy lady as not only had I managed to get my hands on it, but at a bargain price of £32.00!!

It also comes with a Travel-sized 'Better than sex' Mascara and a full-sized Lip Injection Colour Bomb (in Bee Sting).

Included in this palette are 20 eyeshadows ranging in several colours and finishes.  There are 5 matte finish shadows, and 15 metallic/shimmer shadows.

Each eyeshadow is amazing quality- very pigmented, smooth, and easy to blend!  I really enjoyed using all the eyeshadows as they are so smooth and creamy feeling.

Snowflakes is a pale white gold with a frosted, metallic finish.
Whiskers on Kittens is a pale peach with a hint of pink and gold sparkle.
Chocolate Milk is a medium brown with warm, orange undertones and a matte finish.
Moon on Their Wings is a warm, golden beige with a frosted, metallic finish and gold micro-glitter.
Dark Chocolate is a dark brown with subtle cool undertones and a matte finish.

Cream Coloured Ponies is a pale, cool-toned ivory with a matte finish.
Honey Honey is a warm, golden copper with a frosted, metallic finish.
Buche de Noel is a medium-dark brown with a golden, frosted sheen.
Evergreen is a medium-dark forest green with cool undertones and a pearly finish.
Blue Satin Sashes is a deep, dark blue-teal with a matte finish and subtle gold sparkle.

Coquet is a pale, light-medium pink with a golden, frosted finish and warm, yellow undertones.
Taffy is a light-medium, warm-toned pink with a slightly metallic sheen.
Crisp Apple Strudel is a warm, medium brown with a bronze sheen.
Woollen Mittens is a subtly gray-tinged, medium-dark brown with a satin-matte finish.
Soiree is a dark burgundy with warm, red undertones and a subtle sparkle over a matte finish.

Tinsel is a dirty, medium gold with a frosted, metallic finish.
Bluff is a medium-dark, muted purple with mauve undertones and a frosted sheen.
Ooh la Orchid is a magenta purple with a matte finish.
Party Time is a bluish-teal shimmer layered over a blackened navy blue.
Pure Glam is a deep, dark black with a matte finish and silver sparkle.

Raindrops on Roses is a light-medium pink with subtle, cool undertones and an overlay of gold shimmer.
Chocolate Soleil is a medium-dark brown with warm, yellow-orange undertones and a satin finish.
Melt Into Spring is a medium, pink-coral with a matte finish and warm undertones.
Sun Bunny #1 is a coppery brown with a frosted finish.
Sun Bunny #2 is a light-medium orange with gold shimmer and frost.

This is my first experience of the Too Faced brand and I am really impressed, I love the palette, packaging and Mascara the only thing That I could leave was the lip product, it just didn't 'Wow' me, the colour also didn't suit me, but it was an ok extra in a great gift set. I'm also not sure I'd spend the full £48.00 and am really glad I managed to get it for a bargain.

Did you manage to bag a bargain this Year?

It's Christmas......

As it's Christmas Eve I thought I'd do a fun post to give you an idea of my Christmas, I found this tag and thought it'd be nice to do, hope you enjoy it!...

Do you prefer a real Christmas tree or synthetic?
I love the smell of a real christmas tree and have had them in the past, but for the last few years we have faked it! As I am very fussy and like it to look perfect... The perfect shape, height etc and that's not very easy with a real tree unfirtunately.

You're in a coffee shop, it's December, what do you pick up?
I'm not a massive coffee drinker so probably a Mint hot chocolate or a Gingerbread Latte.

What's your favourite colour scheme for decorating the tree?
I have bright pink, aqua, lime and purple as my room is fairly neutral I like to add a little colour into the room and my five year old Daughter loves those colours, but the lights are white, I can't stand multi-coloured lights *shiver*.

Giving or receiving?
Giving! I love choosing out gifts for people, I'm also rather strange as I really hate opening gifts in front of people it makes me feel so awkward?! Am I the only one?.

To mince pie or not to?
I don't like homemade mince pies.. The pastry is always to thick and dry but I can handle a shop bought one.... Does that make me a snob? Ha

What's your traditional Christmas lunch?
Turkey or Beef with all the trimmings... A big pile of Roasties, mash, honey roast parsnips, sprouts, peas, carrots, stuffing and lashings of gravy! Not really a fan of christmas pudding so I'm likely to reach for a chocolatey dessert..

Christmas day fashion
PJ's for opening pressie's then after breakfast we get dressed, I don't necessarily get dressed up but I make an effort.

What's your favourite Christmas song?
Wham Last Christmas! As soon as I hear it on the radio I know it's Christmas.... I also like The Pogues Fairytale of New York.

What's your favourite Christmas film?
I love Home alone 1 and 2, Elf, The Snowman.. There are lot's I enjoy watching.

Open presents before or after lunch?
Before! Who waits until after?! I am sooo impatient! I'd open them on Christmas eve if I could.. There is also no chance that my little girl could contain her excitement until after 8am!

I hope you found this post fun, feel free to give your answer in the comments or do the Tag yourself!

Wishing you all a Fantastic Christmas and New Year, Best Wishes.xxx

The Dream Sequence - Bare Minerals Ready 4.0 Quad.

The Dream Sequence features four shades: 500 Thread Count, Romp, Boudoir, and Nightcap. bareMinerals’ pressed eyeshadow formula contains SeaNutritive Mineral Complex that gives the shadow a “creamy, silky smooth” texture with “seamless blendability” and “stay-true colour.”

These shadows are advertised to be long-wearing whether worn alone or with primer–you shouldn’t experince creasing or fading. I’ve tested various combinations of shades from the BM duos and quads, and I’ve happily achieved ten hours of solid wear without a primer underneath.

  • 500 Thread Count - described as "airy pink." This beautifully light shade is perfect as a brow highlight and to use on the inner corner of your eyelid.
  • Romp - described as "iridescent lilac." I love using this as a crease colour for a daytime look - it's perfectly smoky in nature without being too dark. My favourite shade in the quad.
  • Boudoir - described as "electric amethyst."  a gorgeous vibrant shade - awesome as a lid colour! Perfect over a black smoky eye in the crease to add an extra oomph for the party season.
  • Nightcap - described as "violet sheen." This rich colour is great for an evening smoky eye look, especially when used on the outer corner of the eyelid and smudged out. You could also use this with a damp brush as an eyeliner.

I never would of picked up this palette, but since I got it I haven't put it down using romp for a day look or adding a little black in the crease with Boudior for an amazing smoky eye with a twist. Such a great versatile little palette. The palette is £29.00 but for four good quality shadows I think it is a fair price compared to MAC.

What palette have you been loving?

Cath Collins Bath Elixir Trio.

This trio of oils feature 3 of Cath's scrumcious fragrances, each of these oils are certainly perfect for the time they are suggested for they all contain these beautiful oils, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Avocado Oil, Evening Primrose Oil.

Flowers of the Orient a spicy & woody scent this one is my favourite out of the three, I would say it is suitable for morning or evening. The scent is gorgeous it has a lovely rich floral/woody scent, it is a really warm and cosy scent that I fell in love with after my first sniff.

Evening Flowers an evening fragrance scent, it's a little 'mature',as the name would suggest this one is very floral, it is a nice scent, It's not musky but this floral scent is quite sweet. Maybe a little sweet for me at first but once it had mixed in with the water, it gave a lovely relaxing aroma and I will definitely use again.

Morning Flowers
it's lovely fresh
citrus/floral scent, a great way to start those tired weekend or day off mornings with a lovely reviving fragrance to wake you up and get you ready for the day.

If you are a fan of Aromatherapy Associates, you should definitely check out this brand as to me it is the exact same quality but at half the price! This set of three 30ml bottles is only £35.50. An absolute bargain considering AA are selling a tiny 7.5ml for £10.00..

Imperial Candles - Christmas candle and Jewellery gift.

As soon as I saw Imperial Candles website I was sucked in! I love having scented candles burning in my home in the evening, It just makes me feel warm, happy and fuzzy inside... Whilst browsing the site I discovered that not only are you buying an100% natural soy wax candle, but you also get an amazing surprise piece of jewellery inside your candle worth between £10.00 - £2000!...So When the lovely Alex offered to send me one I immediately said Yes Please!... The candle I chose was the cinnamon and sweet vanilla scent (Although the other scents sounded lovely) as it is perfect for Christmas.

The candle has a fabulous strong scent of spicy cinnamon and sweet vanilla it makes my whole house smell amazing within a couple of minutes of lighting it.... As the jewellery is a surprise you have no idea what it is until you find it but it will be either a ring, a set of earrings, a necklace or a bracelet in either .925 Sterling silver, white gold or yellow gold, it is hidden in the wax wrapped securely in gold foil, after a couple of hours burning the gift will appear for you to unwrap & admire! I think the whole concept is fantastic as it is a gift within a gift!

(Sorry the photos are bad my camera wouldn't focus with all the sparkle)

As you can see I received a gorgeous Sterling silver necklace with a gorgeous heart pendant set in clear stones with a red/pink central stone. it is really pretty and states it is worth £50.00!, I will definitely buy more for gifts or to treat myself.. What girl can't resist a beautiful scented candle and a surprise piece of jewellery?!
The candles are 100% Natural Soy Wax, they have 2 Wicks to prevent tunnelling, they are also Made with love and hand poured in the UK with a Burn time 100-120 hours. If you want to buy someone a fantastic gift or just to treat yourself, check out the website Imperial Candles and see what surprise piece you receive and if that wasn't good enough.. 1 in 500 candles also has a code in it to win an iPad 3. They currently have some new Christmassy scents.

Ever Matte Mineral Powder Compact by Clarins.

The compact powder which effectively controls shine for hours, leaving my skin fresh and flawless.
Its ultra-fine, comfortable texture evens the complexion with a transparent finish. This powder feels like silk, it leaves my skin looking and feeling Amazing.

My complexion is perfectly even, velvety-smooth and looks incredibly beautiful. Make-up wear is improved. It sets my liquid foundation perfectly, never looks cakey, it covers with just a light dusting I don't need much covering just my T-zone and blending the excess out over the rest of my face.

The "Shine-Stopper" complex combines the benefits of plants and purity of minerals to instantly matify the complexion, control shine and tighten pores. It makes my fine line softer and generally just improves my whole look.

I have recently been using quite a few Clarins products and have not been dissappointed with anything, it really is a brand that hit's everytime, I think it is seen as a 'older persons' brand but I must disagree the products are great for Teens to More Mature ladies! The price of £26.00 I think isn't bad as it will last a long time and I would pay that for the gorgeous packaging alone, it is so luxurious.

Eye öf hörus Charcoal obsidian Goddess pencil.

Awaken your sensual goddess within with the subtle shimmer of the obsidian Goddess pencil. The liner is Seriously Smokey and sensational.

The creamy rich formula is easy to apply, waterproof, smudge-proof and long-lasting and resists oil and perspiration with no fading. Obsidian Charcoal* elusively defines and expands the look of your eyes without stark or heavy definition. Sensational for day wear, very fair, and mature eyes.

As you can see it is double ended with the liner on one side and a sponge tip on the other to smudge out the liner to create a sexy smoky eye. The liner is very smooth, making it easy to apply for a quick and easy look.
It comes in a few different shades including black and bronze which both look lovely.

I like to line my lashes on my lid to create an illusion of thicker lashes before I apply my mascara, I also use on my waterline for nights out to give my eyes an extra something. It retails for £13.00 from most online stores.

Sleek Californ.I.A and Pink Lemonade Blush by 3 Palette.

The brand new shades of Sleek Make up Blush by 3 in Californ.I.A and Pink Lemonade.

Californ.I.A is inspired by the sun, sand and surf of Californian beach life.

Pink Lemonade is the traditional, old fashioned English tea party with three decadent pinks.

Expected for release in store & online on 15th January 2014, I think they look really pretty, but like the Sweet cheeks palette it looks to contain two powders and one Cream blush, I'm not a fan of mixing powders and creams for obvious reasons but I also don't get on with cream blushes they just never look right?!

Will you be rushing to buy these?

The Vision - Bare Minerals Ready 2.0

The Vision in Illusion & Mirage - bareMinerals READY® Eyeshadow* provides exceptionally vivid, long-wearing colour in an ultra smooth, silky texture for effortless application and seamless blendability with two complementary shades.
Powered by our proprietary SeaNutritive MineralTM Complex along with powerful antioxidants, cold-pressed borage oil, caffeine and cucumber-ingredients known to reduce the visible signs of ageing, including reduced look of puffiness and antioxidant protection for a softer, smoother, revitalised eye area.
Not only do these gorgeous little duo palette's come in lot's of stunning shades, they actually contain fabulous ingredients to help reduce signs of ageing! I usually wouldn't choose these sort of shades as I normally stick to 'safe' neutrals, but Wow am I impressed with these especially 'Mirage', it is the most beautiful brown/purple shade with irridescent blue shimmer, it looks amazing all over the lid, or as a smoky shade for your crease.
Perfect for a Christmas party look, adding a gorgeous smoky eye to make your eyes pop! I had lot's of compliments when I wore it asking what it was. It has a beautiful almost duo chrome shimmer that looks different in different lighting... I am sold!..
I also pop the lighter colour illusion underneath to really make Mirage stand out, when I apply it all over my lid. The lasting power is great I get around 9-10+ hours without creasing or smudging. The duo is £19.00 and is available from the bareminerals Websites, they have a palette to suit everyone.

    MURINE Eye Drops & Mist

With the office party season almost upon us, remember to spare a thought for our eyes over the festive season. Late nights out and a lack of sleep can take their toll, leaving our eyes looking dull and feeling uncomfortable, dry and tired.

MURINE Bright & Moist Eyes*is formulated with a brightener to give super-white, bright eyes and two moisturisers helping to refresh and soothe - one of the few products on the market to meet both needs in one. Two other unique selling points are that the product comes in a liquid gel, which helps the drops to stay in the eye for longer. Available from Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, Waitrose and pharmacies nationwide priced £4.07 for 15ml.

MURINE Refresh & Soothe Eye Mist*is applied to closed eyes with a gentle spray where the fine mist makes its way onto the eye. After a couple of blinks, the particles spread across the eye’s surface and the clinically-proven formulation helps to replenish the tear film layer whilst providing quick, long-lasting hydrating relief without flooding the eye or running down the face. Available from Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, Waitrose and pharmacies nationwide priced £9.99 for 15ml.

I never thought of using eye drops but they have really made a difference in how my eyes feel, they are less sore & dry, I really have been impressed with them especially the mist as I was able to use whilst wearing make up because the mist is so fine it didn't smudge it or make my eyes water. I used the bright & moist before I applied my make up to brighten my whites to make me look less tired.

    Have you used eye drops?
