Smashbox Full Exposure Travel Size Palette.

This versatile eye shadow set provides eight must-have neutrals in one portable palette. From nudes to blacks, these crease-resistant, long-wear shimmers and velvety smooth mattes are organised with shimmers on top and mattes on the bottom so that they are easy to use. I picked this little beauty up from Sephora in the mall at Millenia in Orlando whilst on Holiday in June, it is tiny.. About the size of a Credit card, I was really surprised how small it was, but the shadows are great, pigmented and a good size and fill the palette, it is perfect for popping into your handbag or a compact make up bag for a trip away, the shades can take you from day to night no messing! Full of neutrals like the smashbox full size palatte but this contains eight.. Four matte and four shimmer, such a great little travel-size palette of eight, with universal neutral shadows. t was $24 = £15.78 which I don't think is too bad for eight high quality, long wearing shadows?!

This set contains:
Shimmer Eye shades in Chocolate Brown/Golden Pearl, Soft Gold/Golden Silver Pearl, Light Tan/Golden Silver Pearl, Mid-Tone Slate/Silver Pearl.
Matte Eye shades in Matte Warm Chocolate Brown, Soft Matte Mid-tone Tan, Creamy Matte Beige, Ashy Dark Brown.

The Full Exposure Palette was created because the pros at Smashbox Studios needed it. On set, they’ve seen every skin tone and eye shape imaginable, so they wanted a super universal, straightforward palette that works on anyone, anywhere—from big-deal photo shoots to behind-the-scenes Instagram selfies.

Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki Brush.

A kabuki really is the key make-up bag essential. Not only can you use for it bronzer, loose powder and blending, but the angled cut is great for contouring too. With a retractable neck and plastic lid, so the brush bristles stay perfect for longer. I really like that the metal tube lifts up to enable you to put the lid back on, protecting the bristles from bending or becoming trapped!. The bristles are lovely and soft but the head is really firm, perfect for buffing in foundation, powder etc. Real Techniques brushes have become firm favourites and I find myself reaching for them daily over my more expensive Sigma or MAC brushes, I cannot fault them and this brush is a welcomed addition, the only con I can think if is... The brand don't have enough eye Brushes!! I hope that they release some more this Year?

You can pick this Kabuki brush from most boots stores or online for £11.99.

Are you a fan of RT Brushes, which one is your favourite?

Laura Mercier Home and Away Portfolio

This is a travel makeup case measuring 11.5 in x 9 in.  The hard outer shell unzips all the way around to reveal two magnetic covers.  On the first "page" there are two pouches of the same size that stick to the front cover.  With all of these mesh pouches, you can pull them out and use them as makeup bags alone.  The two on the back cover are different sizes and the other is a skinnier pouch suitable for pencil products.  The entire case is made of plastic which makes it really easy to wipe down with a baby wipe before and after each use.

The case also comes with two empty Laura Mercier palettes a six-pan and a three-pan.  I've never tried a Laura Mercier colour in my life, but these would be helpful if you'd already amassed a collection.  The mirrors inside these are large and take up the entire lid of the palette.  I've shown them here with a couple of my travel essentials.

Good makeup storage makes me want to make better use of my makeup.  I've never found something I liked for travelling -- if it had a hard shell, there weren't enough compartments and my products would knock into each other.  If it was a soft case, it wasn't protected from my other belongings in my carry-on.  Here, I'm not concerned that any of my products will explode and get all over my clothes, I don't think any of my glass bottles will break or even that my brushes will be crushed.  I'm officially a happy camper.

It really is a great addition to my collection at a cost of £65 it is quite expensive (especially as you get no actual products with it) but I knew I would get lot's of use out of it, if fact I love it that much I picked up it's little sister in the Christmas sales from House of Fraser it should of been £69 as it included 2 duo eyeshadows, blush, mini eyeliner and a lip gloss, but I managed to get it for £48.00 it is worth over £160!!.....  It is still available HERE!!  If you would like to treat yourself?!..... I can now use it for my skin care and extra make up when I go away - Perfect!

What's your ideal travel make up bag?
