Wedding Make up...... Eyeshadows

I personally think the 'no make up' natural make up looks gorgeous on a bride, using neutral shades that complement the skin tone as the only thing that should get the guests talking is your DRESS! Not your blue kohl eye & neon pink lip.... Here are a Few of my  favourite Neutral palettes.
Stila In the Light Eye Shadow Palette is a beautiful collection of Stila's award-winning eye shadows in wearable, neutral shades for every skintone that can be worn wet or dry.The palette also includes an exclusive Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Damsel, a matte chocolate brown. £25.00
Clarins quartet in Rosewood, A collection of wet and dry formula eye shadow quartets, each containing four toning shades of satin and iridescent long lasting, super silky and blendable eye colour. Presented in Clarins' signature pale gold compact with mirror and two quality foam tipped applicators; one for defining the eye and one for shading and blending. £31.00

Urban Decay Naked Palettes, You can look great NAKED! These long, lean, seductive case is packed with TWELVE gorgeous neutrals. Shades range from delicate champagnes to dark, gritty gunmetal, with names like Darkhorse, Virgin and Buck. They also included a range of textures: everything from glitter to shimmer to matte. £36.00 each

Wet n Wild in Comfort Zone, a stunning collection of 8 silky, ultra-pigmented day-to-night colors. Mix-and-match for a variety of looks from sweet to wild! Lot's of different shades to choose from. $4.99 or eBay around £5.00

MUA Heaven & Earth is a palette of 12 beautiful earth tone shades that blend effortlessly to give a soft shimmery finish. Create a natural effect using the individual shades, or mix colours together to intensify your look. But this brand has several great palettes on offer. £4.00

Sleek Mke up, The most feminine palette around creates super-sultry looks with shades from every day beiges and peachy hues, to matte browns and shimmering greys.A palette of 12 pressed, mineral-based eyeshadows, Oh So Special contains five shimmers and seven mattes. Each super- blendable eyeshadow is ideal for creating multi-dimensional looks. £7.99

There are lots of palettes & shadows from different brands that can suit your bugdet, you need a base or the lid, a mixer & crease colour, the other shades just add that something extra to make it suitable for you.

Wht's your favourite shadow or palette?

Urban Decay Naked Basics Review & Swatches

I finally caved and bought it when i saw a 20% off promotion at Beauty bay.com, I know it was only £2.00 making it £18, but i had been looking at reviews & swatches and it is the perfect size for travel. (still talking myself into the purchase!)

The Case is a slightly rubberised texture similar to Nars. The new Naked Basics palette only has 6 eye shadows, 5 of which are  matte& 1 Semi-matte. The palette contains the following 6 shades:

Venus - A creamy white colour (Semi-Matte)
Foxy - A yellow/beige colour
Walk of Shame - A pink/beige colour
Naked 2 - A soft taupe colour
Faint - A warm, medium dark brown colour
Crave - A dark black colour

The Shadows them selves are lovely and creamy and pigmented, which i was happy about as most mattes are chalky which is why i usually go for satin or shimmery.

Were you tempted?

Sneak Peek- Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette

Urban Decay are Naked again!
They are bringing out a Blush palette for Spring 2013 ( USA is January 2013) priced at $30, to me it looks very similar to the Sleek Face Form palette which contained a bronzer, blush & highlighter that costs only £10.00 i did a review Here.

It does look very pretty & i am slightly tempted but the price seems fairly steep......
They are also releasing a Beauty Balm, Ammo Palette & Lip glosses in this Collection.

Are you excited for it's arrival?

Urban Decay 24/7 Shadow Pencil Stash

The Urban Decay 24/7 Shadow Pencil Stash includes 5 Travel sized jumbo eye shadow 2.5g  pencils, which i managed to pick up from Fragrance Direct for £12! - Bargain..

The shades you get are :

Delinquent is deep violet with lilac sparkle.

Rehab is a dark red-toned chocolate brown with a tiny bit of taupe.

JuJu is a pale, gilded taupe brown.

Sin is a light pink-beige champagne with a frosted shimmer.

Clash  is a stunning bright blue with silver  sparkle.

They're crease & waterproof, If you're familiar with their 24/7 eye liners, then you'll fall in love with these. I really like these because of how easy they are to wear, use and how long lasting they are. Also, I find that these are more pigmented than the eye liners.

I normally use them alone but they’ll happily mix with any of your favourite shadows, pigments, or minerals to act as a base. Worn alone or with shadow on top I experienced a very long lasting eye look for more than eight hours straight.

If you are on the look out for something like that, at this price they are definitely worth it & would give some amazing Christmas party looks!

Urban Decay Rollergirl Palette

With its sexy neutrals and captivating brights, this fun four-shadow palette can roll with you from the office right into your next hot date. Smoldering brown Darkhorse shadow was previously featured in the much sought after Naked Palette, and the coppery Suspect triumphed in the Book of Shadows. Verve is a pale oyster shimmer that also makes a great highlighter! Woodstock, a hot pink best-seller, is as perfect at the beach as it is at a bar.

The palette contains 4 eyeshadows,

Woodstock is a dark fuchsia pink with a soft frost finish.

Verve is a pale, muted taupe brown–like a lighter Mushroom.
Suspect is a muted champagne bronze with a frost finish.
Darkhorse is a dark, sultry bronze shimmered brown.
Aswell as a miniature Lip Junkie Lipgloss & a 24/7 Glide-On Eye liner.
Crush is a semi-sheer magenta pink.
Whiskey is a medium-dark, warm-toned brown.

I have never been disappointed in the quality and pigmentation of the Urban Decay eye shadows. My favourite shades from this palette are Verve and Suspect, they are perfect to wear all over the eyelid with just some eyeliner and mascara, its such a fast and easy look to do.

I like that they have added Woodstock as a pop off colour to this palette. I think it brings something fun and different to the palette. I know some people don't like it but I actually think its pretty cool, not sure when I'll be brave enough to wear it though!.

Another great Palette from Urban Decay!!

Urban Decay Naked Palette Dupe for £3.99?

I'd not really heard much hype around VIVO - every now & then i would hear about their 'Unprotected' Palette.

I did a little research into them & discovered that the brand are made by FB Beauty, the same company who makes the MUA make up for Superdrug & i knew how well their palettes sell especially 'Heaven & Earth' & 'Undressed' Palettes. I own both myself :)

I noticed that VIVO had a 30% Sale online last week - i did Tweet about it, I decided i might as well for £3.99 for 12 shadows & money off, i thought there was no time like the present! Their website is HERE

The Palette arrived & i am massively impressed, gorgeous colours, great pigmentation, The palette is an obvious dupe for Urban Decay Naked Palette, so many colours are the same.

If you are on a budget or just want a palette you can throw in your bag & not have to worried about it getting broken as for £3.99 it can easily be replaced time & time again!

They do ship internationally for £7.50, which is quite steep but if you have a few friends who all want to make an order?

What's your best Dupe?

Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray

I noticed that recently my T-Zone has become quite oily & my make up wasn't lasting as long as it usually does so i had heard about this & thought I'd tell you what i think of it.

WHAT IS IT:
De-Slick is a hypoallergenic formula that comes in a spray bottle, which is supposed to absorb excess sebum and control surface shine, leaving your makeup looking matte all day. It claims to have a patent-pending “Temperature Control Technology,” which lowers the temperature of your makeup to hold it in place.

HOW TO USE DE-SLICK SETTING SPRAY

After cleanser, toner, I spray my face with De-Slick Setting Spray, holding it about five inches away. This serves as my face primer. Then, I go on with the rest of my makeup routine  - foundation, concealer, powder, eye makeup (not before applying Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion to my lids), bronzer, and blush – and when I’m finished, I spray my face again with the De-Slick Setting Spray to set my makeup.

RESULTS

I have definitely seen positive results after using Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray.... my makeup stays in place longer but, I do find that if I’m going to go out after work, I still need to give my face a once-over with powder because I can still see the slightest bit of shine by the end of the day. It’s definitely an improvement, but maybe there’s a better solution that will make my makeup stay in place until I take it off at night, and not just for the majority of the day. I’m going to keep trying this regime for the next few weeks and see if stops my face from producing so much oil, and then maybe the De-Slick Setting Spray will last longer too. I’ll keep you all posted!
Thanks
