Summer Loving...... Fake Tans...

Over the last couple of week's we have seen the odd day of Sunshine & of course the good old British summer just around the corner, I have been baring a bit more flesh & as I am a lovely shade of pasty I thought I'd better slap on some colour!
Here are 3 of my top picks of the moment.

This Vita Liberata Moment by Moment Tinted Self Tan Mousse* is Perfect for girls on the go who don’t have time to wait for a normal tan to develop. It is a light and airy mousse provides a long lasting colour and a perfect fade, every time: Non-toxic and Organic, No streaking and no smell, 100% free from parabens, perfume and alcohol, Easy to apply, Unique moisture-lock complex, 80% organic extracts that are kind to skin and produce a natural fade (eventually!). What I like about this one as it allows you to decide what colour you'd like to be from Natural Sun-kissed to Intense dark, the end result is a gorgeous natural looking tan. It lasts a long time & really does fade naturally.
For a light SUNKISSED glow – shower after 1 hour. For a GOLDEN BRONZE tan – shower after 2 hours. For a LUSCIOUSLY DARK tan – shower after 3 hours.
This is £20.00 at the moment from a few online sites usual price is £24.50.

He-Shi Express Liquid Tan* is another great product for girls on the go, it  is a self tanning bronzer which tans instantly on contact with the skin, giving a lovely bronzed complexion with immediate results. He-Shi Express Liquid Tan is extremely quick drying due to its incredibly light liquid texture.  With its 'see where it goes' formula you can be confident of not developing streaks or patches. He-Shi Express Liquid Tan contains 6% organic DHA and can be reapplied by layering to achieve an ultra dark colour. This was possibly the easiest as it drys really quick so you don't have to spend time walking around flashing your bits waiting to dry before you get dressed! Great colour & fades naturally, this is another fake tan that you can build up to get a darker colour if required.

This one retails for £37.00

This is the ultimate product for a truly beautiful DARK*, DARK tan. Xen-Tan have pioneered the use of precious Argan Oil in this formulation - the concentrated liquid-lotion is even easier to apply and provides a silky moisturising feel. If you thought our Dark Lotion range was dark, you’ll be seriously surprised with Moroccan Tan! This is perfect for a night out to make you feel extra glam, it really is dark & makes me look like I've been to the caribbean for a fortnight! Great colour & fades pretty well too! This retails for £24.99.

With all the above tans I use a mitt to apply my tan & apply cream first to my knees, elbows, wrists, knuckles... Anywhere it tends to stick & would go patchy or streaky!

I am really enjoying using balms & creams that have to be washed off with muslim or face cloths as they give a gentle exfoliation at the same time & my skin has improved greatly!

I also love Soap & Glory's Peaches & clean and Liz earle's Cleanse & Polish.

This is available for £ 39.50 which I don't think is too bad as you only need a little bit as it melts into an oil.

This set includes: LARA (orange with a hint of gold) SIENNA (candy pink) ALENOUSH (your perfect blood red).

I had personally not heard of this brand before so when I was contacted to see if I wanted to review them, I was intrigued,As I love Nail polish especially my Brights!, These polishes are Super glossy, chip resistant, quick dry nail paints are highly pigmented and so easy to apply thanks to the  flat brush. They apply really well & have good staying power, they have a good colour payoff & are very glossy.

Models Own Blueberry Muffin

Models Own are one of my favourite brands of nail polish, They are always bang on trend & bringing out the latests colours or textures at a fantastic price, at £5 you can't really complain, Especially when they apply like a dream & last a good 3 days on me, I have paid for more expensive brands *cough* Essie *cough* that have chipped within a day! I don't know about you, but I love wearing nail polish on my nails, but hate the removing & reapplying trauma - once is week is more than enough for me!

This Models own in Blueberry* applies easily i needed 2 coats for a truely opaque look, it reminds me of another favourite shade utopia but this is more blue... I couldn't really smell a scent when I was applying it but once dried I found the scent to be quite strong - when I smelt my nail?!..  it smells lovely..very fruity! My little girl loved the concept. Also a perfect shade or Spring/Summer... 

As usual I got a good 3 days until I managed to chip a nail but I was scrubbing my Bathroom - very glamorous I know but somebody has to do it!

Dr Ceuticals Hand De-Age Cream

The hands are one of the first parts of the body to show signs of ageing as they are exposed to the elements. This  protective hand cream with SPF 15 not only helps to shield against future damage but also acts on existing age spots to minimise their appearance. An intensive moisturising complex helps to preserve water reserves in the skin, leaving hands hydrated, plump and smooth.

Its got a lovely fresh sort of citrus scent to it, once absorbed it hardly noticeable, The cream is a lovely thick & rich texture, It is absorbed almost straight away which I really like in a hand cream. I have been using for just over 2 weeks now & I have noticed a difference, my hands are more moisturised & seem brighter?! The Freckles on the backs of my hands seem to have faded.

I don't know if it will prevent future sun damage but as a hand cream I really like it, I tend to apply it before bed & allow it a good 8hrs to work it's magic!

It's a luminous pale gold champagne in the compact. It swatches true to the colour in the pan. I expected to fall in love with it completely, especially after swatching on my hand in store - it was like wearing sunshine on my hand.

I'm all for visible shimmers, however this one emphasised my pores and looked slightly too metallic on my skin. Not very natural glow more like a night time shimmer, I do think it suit fairer skins better. I do like it but for the price I'd expect much more.

Instant Revitalizing Mask Radical Skincare

The Instant Revitalizing Mask is the ideal coach for the skin: it delivers the nutrients necessary for hydration and regeneration while teaching it to breathe, stock up on energy and optimize its oxygen resources. This is the most bizarre face mask I have ever used, I squirted some out & started to apply to my face (it's a gel at first then changed to a shaving foam texture). 

Once I applied I sat on my bed to chill out, after about 30 seconds I jumped up off the bed as my face started fizzing & the mask seemed to be popping!.... I looked in the mirror & the mask was disappearing in front of my eyes... It was the strangest sensation I have ever experienced but it wasn't a horrible feeling, it was slightly cooling & tingly. Calling all Contact lense Wearers

I've worn Glasses since a young age & started to wear contacts around the age if 16 Yrs for nights out etc... The first pair I wore were the one's you have one pair for 12 months & you had to clean them & store in a pot of sterile water..... I soon got fed up of burning my eye from the solution that hadn't washed off properly! I then discovered Dailies they were the best invention EVER!

All you have to do is pop out of the packaging & put straight into your eye - Simple! 

The latest Contact lenses to hit the market are Ciba Vision they have launched it's long awaited Dailies Total 1 soft daily disposable contact lenses*. Heralded as a new era in contact lenses and perhaps it is. The well establish market leader has been those contact lenses manufactured with silicone hydrogel, and while this material offered superior oxygen transmission than the old silicone contact lenses, it had a low water content. Oxygen passes easily through water and keeps the cornea healthy, the eyes clear and white.

Ciba Vision have taken this low water content silicone hydrogel material and sandwiched it between a front and back layer of water. Boosting the lens to over 80% water contact which as they say launches a "new era".

They have been the comfiest pair of lenses I have worn, I literally forgot I was wearing them, no irritation or drying out, tired feeling!

My Wedding - Dalhousie Castle, Bonnyrigg, Scotland

Five Years ago today on a Gloriously hot sunny day in Scotland I said "I Do!"........

Stella Summer 2013 succeeds last year's edition Stella Summer Rose, which enchanted us with beautiful illustrations of misty rose flowers and a fresh composition with flowers and fruit. Without many changes in the ingredients.

The new edition Stella Summer 2013 offer luminous and cold notes of frozen lemon combined with foamy aromas of green apple. The heart develops aromas of rose surrounded with peony, resting on a warm, comfortable amber base.

I really like the Summer editions, I tend to buy a new once each year, Last year Summer Rose was a little too flowery for me though, my Favourite edition was Sheer Stella 2007, It smelt different o the other's, I still have about 10 squirts left that I save for special occasions! This one is a lovely fresh scent so much lighter & easier to wear than her original Stella pefume.

I got mine from Fragrance Direct for £35.00 a bargain as it's rrp is £40.00 but I also got a 5% Discount by using code VC501. The bottle is absolutely stunning in real life, so pretty on my Dressing table!

Today is a very Emotional day for me. It would of been my Cousin Tim's 30th Birthday, but on 20th Decemember 2011, he was taken away from us in a tragic accident & it broke everyone who knew him's Hearts. He was the most amazing Human being - Kind, Intelligent, Thoughtful, Friendly, I could go on...... He had just become a Dad only 6 Months early to a Beautiful little Girl & was just starting to plan his wedding to his lovely Fiancéé as he had just finished his Masters degree & had just started his new job.........His Life had just begun............He had EVERYTHING to live for......

We all have our special Memories of him & he will forever live on in our hearts & through his Daughter, I just wish I could give him one more Hug, tell him how much I love him & buy him a Pint!!
