Clarins Skin Perfecting BB Cream SPF 25

The Clarins BB Cream feels amazing. It looks quite Thick when you first squeeze it out of the tube, but once applied to your face it appears to vanish like air as you rub it into your skin. I literally couldn't tell I had anything on, my face just looked natural, fresh with a slight glow. I got mine in Light & when I first squeezed some out on my fingers I was a little concerned as it has a very orange tint to it, I thought I'd be cast as an extra Oompa Lumpa in Willy Wonka! But once I began to apply, it disappeared & blended perfectly with my skin.

The finish is semi-matte meaning it will slightly mattify oilier areas, whilst adding a natural radiance to the skin overall. It's not moisturising as such, but the moisture-attracting properties of Katafray bark, a natural hydration stimulate, works to plump and moisturise the skin and minimise the appearance of fine lines alongside the Clarins 3D radiance pigment, which optically brightens the skin and minimises flaws. Coating in a unique plant amino acid, your colour stays true for longer. I noticed around my eyes, which seemed to make the dry, fine lines less noticeably.

The coverage is light, just enough to smooth out redness and some general unevenness. Something about the finish seems to lightly blur out fine lines and pores. Your skin doesn't look like a blank, lifeless canvas, but like a better version of the natural you. If you want boosted, naturally luminous skin and can make do with concealer for the problem spots, this is fabulous. I do however feel it may still be too dark for really pale complexions..

Clarins BB* does have a scent, sort of fresh, slightly floral. If you're sensitive to added fragrance, This might be a problem for you?

This is also by far the best-feeling sunscreen I have ever tried. I can't think of many sunscreens that are this weightless & non drying, I love that this has SPF 25 which is strong enough for everyday wear. I think this will be my HG in the warmer months.

This is probably one of the best BB Creams I've tried, it is at the higher end at £28.00, but you can buy this from Escentual at the moment for a special price of £22.40.

Are you a fan of BB Creams?

  2. I got a sample of this where I work, and I'm terrified to try this because it's so dark! I'm very fair and I don't want to look orange. I may try this out now after reading your review.
